The options available for "Services Referred" and "Services Provided" have been updated to include more of the services workers use regularly, as well as some federally required options.
Please review the following definitions to ensure that the new values are correctly selected. Select only those that apply to each case. Note that casework counseling has been removed since it is presumed that casework counseling occurs in each CPS intervention.
Make sure you select all that apply. This is one place CPR reviewers will be looking for initiation of appropriate services!

Child Care |
Services or activities provided in a setting that meets applicable standards of State and local law, in a center or in a home, for a portion of a 24-hour day.

Community Based Support Services |
Community-based preventive activities designed to alleviate stress and promote parental competencies and behaviors that will increase the ability of families to successfully nurture their children; enable families to use other resources and opportunities available in the community; and create supportive networks to enhance the child-rearing abilities of parents.

| Counseling Services | Activites that apply the therapeutic processes to personal, family, situational, or occupational problems in order to bring about a positive resolution of the problem or improved individual or family functioning or circumstances.

| Crisis Nursery/Respite | Activities involving the temporary care of the children in order to provide relief to the caregiver. May involve care of the children outside of the caregiver's own home for a brief period of time, such as overnight or for a weekend. Not considered by the state to be a foster care or other placement.
