Child and Family Services Review
Utah's Child and Family Services participates in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Child and Family Services Federal Review and Evaluation (CFSR). Utah's first review occurred in April 2003. We are preparing for our second review, which is scheduled for the spring of 2010.Our Statewide Assessment from the first CFSR is available in Adobe format. The three counties chosen for the onsite review were Salt Lake County, Utah County, and Grand/San Juan County. These counties represented our urban and rural populations in the State of Utah.
We received the Executive Summary and Final Report from the Children's Bureau on September 4, 2003. We entered into the Program Improvement Plan (PIP) phase in July 2004. Our PIP timeframe was completed in July 2006. We completed all of the action items and met the data goals for all but two of the indicators. These two data goals were met in the one-year non-overlapping time period. We received notification of completion of the PIP in the beginning of 2008.
